I have mixed feelings about this case, hence the three star rating. On one hand it’s a decent case once you figure the complicated thing out. It can transform from a vertical stand, to a horizontal stand, to a lower horizontal stand that is a perfect angle for drawing. However, doing all these transformations is actually quite complicated. If not "complicated”, then I’d definitely say not intuitive. The "instructions” consist of three small drawings with arrows and that was only slightly helpful. At one point I tried to cycle through all the different positions from memory and all of a sudden the entire back popped off! I didn’t realize the back popped off at all! The little flap that holds your pencil also comes off and is not permanently attached at all.On the other hand, once you figure out the complicated transformations, it actually does a decent job of being a unique stand. I’ve never seen a stand that holds your iPad vertical so this is a first for me. However, I will say that when it is standing vertically it isn’t perfectly stable; there is a bit of wobble to it as the iPad Pro is tall and heavy. The drawing mode is very cool as it presents the iPad at a perfect soft angle for drawing and keeping your hand and wrist comfortable. The horizontal mode is only okay as there’s only one notch for one angle setting. I’ve seen other cases that have multiple notches so you can choose from multiple angles, not this case. The other thing to note is that other than the strong magnet that holds the iPad to the main back piece (the one that comes "apart” from the case) there is nothing else that secures your iPad in case of a fall. The edges of the iPad are exposed and because the pencil holder is a magnet, that will be coming off too. Even throwing this in a backpack or bag, the pencil holder and pencil will come off and the edges are exposed to items that may damage them.If I’m calling this case sort of middle of the road in terms of usefulness and functionality, and then factor in the $56 price tag, I can’t throw my full recommendation behind this case. There are other reviews here on Ebay that are much more laudatory than I am, but this is my honest review. It’s not a bad case by any means, but I think it’s a bit high priced for what you get: an overly complicated three position iPad Pro case.I hope this was useful or helpful to you. Cheers!
