These gauges are working as expected. They are quite light. I have 2 strips in my case and I am happy with how they look. I haven't tried cutting any of the strips so I can't comment on that. I don't use glue. The magnets work well. I have a stripe on the side and a stripe on top and both hold up. Haven't used them for a long time but so far so good. I'm happy! Updates: I bought two of these; Version with 3 stripes and 4 stripes. I used both magnets and glue. I am happy with both. The magnets are good, not the strongest in the world but I have no problem putting them on. The glue seems to be holding well. For those who want to carve them. I cut them off with no problem. Pattern LED, LED, LED, Magnet, Repeat. Cut right after the magnet and you shouldn't have any problems. I cut one of my strips to 6 LEDs (cut after the 2nd magnet).
