Review on 2.5" to 3.5" Drive Converter: Seamless Internal Solid State Upgrade Solution by Joseph Brendemuehl

I liked the light weight and rigidity of this product. Working with it and installing it in my computer's internal rack felt very secure. I actually bought two of these along with 2 x Western Digital Blue Caviar 1TB SSDs, making my PC a full SSD without the backup drives; very fast and responsive. A full virus scan without a backup disk took less than 15 minutes. It took just over an hour with a spare 1TB drive. It used to take over 4 hours with 3 1TB hard drives. Once you have the drive in place and screwed into place, and after connecting SATA and power to the bracket, be sure to press your SSD against the connectors in the bracket to ensure the connection is secure. If you install the bracket in a narrow space, you can easily move the SSD without any problems. The only thing I'd like to add to this bracket is some sort of strong clamp that will hold the SSD securely in place once mounted in the bracket.
