I am a serious amateur photographer with a technical background. I have had 4 Canon Powershots in 5 years and currently own a Canon XTi DSLR. I love Canon for the user interface. I bought this DSC-T90 for my 11 year old daughter and decided to switch to Sony after all four Powershots had different screen glitches. I am very happy with the Sony interface. it is very friendly. The touchscreen is great and the size is pretty good. The intelligent automatic adjustment and scene detection features are simply amazing. It can automatically take an additional shot with different settings under certain conditions to try to get the best possible picture. It records videos with a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD) in MP4 format. The included software (Picture Motion Browser) has a very good organizer ability to detect special conditions in pictures already stored on the computer: smiles, one person, multiple people, etc. Good thing Memory Stick media prices are a lot now are cheaper. .
