We sleep with the windows open both in winter and summer, so we don’t really feel humid, but in winter, when the heating is on, there is no longer a feeling of dry air (when we spend the night at a party, the difference is immediately noticeable :)), the child began to get sick less often, in general, he breathes more freely. But of course I conducted experiments, closed the window and the door in the room with a humidifier, and after half an hour it was very humid there, like the sea :). Evaporates pretty quickly, I just have time to pour water. 7 liters in 1-1.5 days, but this, I repeat, with the window open. It may take longer to evaporate indoors. I use without any additives, I pour ordinary tap water. But be sure to rinse the bottom water tank every time, clean it with a brush, because at the bottom there is always yellow muddy water with a dusty suspension. I just get pleasure when I pour this dirty water into the toilet :) because you can really see how the air is cleaned. After some time of use, especially if sometimes there is no time to brush, limescale will form on the bottom. At first I tried to clean it with all sorts of means, it turned out to be very difficult to clean it off. And then I came up with the idea of ​​putting the drum and bottom bowl in the dishwasher and added a dishwasher decalcifier, and everything was as good as new! About crackling. Yes, we got it, like many, after a while. But this, fortunately, is fixable. It is necessary to disassemble the humidifier - on top of the panel there are 2 buttons on the sides of the control buttons, you press them and the top cover is disassembled. Then you need to get the mechanism itself and lubricate a small white thing :) like, it's called a gearbox. We sprayed it on it, smeared it all with WD-40 several times, and turned it on several times, there was a crack, we also lubricated it, and only from the 3rd time, apparently, the grease finally dispersed, and the crack stopped! And now even at night we sleep peacefully with a humidifier! I'm just happy :) what I wish you too! Ksenia
