My trusty Weber digital thermometer is dead so I bought a Taylor thinking it would be as good or even better but damn it , I was disappointed. I like to use it mainly when grilling, but the LED display is completely unreadable in any outside sunlight, even if you cover it with your hand it is barely readable. It's also wild with precision, I put it in meat and it starts well below ambient and then takes forever to come up to temperature. Most of the time I just grab my manual and check it. I will definitely be returning it and getting something I can rely on that can also be used outdoors.
