Review on πŸ•οΈ ALPS Mountaineering Camping Chair by Gary Newman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very high quality and well made! Not the cheapest but worth the price.

We used folding bag chairs. On a whim we bought two cheap director's chairs last camping season to see if we liked them better. Nobody wanted to use the old chairs so this season I decided we needed two more. I've looked at cheaper chairs but people have complained that the stitching on the back has unraveled and rendered the chair unusable. The backrests on these chairs aren't the same material configuration, so stretching doesn't seem to be an issue. The metal of these chairs is very durable. The material is thick and of excellent quality. They sit a little lower than my other chairs and I'm pleased that they're only 5ft 2in tall. My husband who is 6ft 2in found them very comfortable and didn't mind that they weren't as big as the others. Our cheaper chairs have a straight back, which is fine for sitting at a camping table, but not as comfortable for just sitting. The backrests of these chairs recline slightly, so I expect them to be a bit more comfortable to sit on. As another reviewer said, they're heavy so you won't want to carry them long distances, but this type of chair is bulky and difficult to carry when folded. I wouldn't wear my cheap lungs either. They're more expensive than some of the other Revain chairs, but they're worth it. I highly recommend them.
