Review on πŸ“· Marine Grade Flush Mount Rear View Camera with Distance Scale Lines - Pyle PLCM22IR by Alejandro Labustin

UPDATED: NOT WATERPROOF

Not a bad little camera, especially for the price. My only complaint is that I wish it didn't have IR LEDs. Once a film of dust or salt gets on the outer lens (which means all the time on my bumper), the film reflects IR light back into the camera, rendering it virtually unusable. Otherwise I'm very happy with it. ------------------------------------------------------ --------- - ---------------------- ------------- --------Updated March 22: I tried two of these cameras and none lasted more than a month before leaking and failing. Both stopped working immediately after a rainy day, and if you looked at them from the inside, the windows were full of fog. I don't know what's good about this camera if it can't handle a bit of rain. When the first one failed I replaced it with the same one, thinking it was just an accident and reinstalling with the same one would be easier. Model. Now that the second one is broken, I'm replacing it with another model, but it's almost impossible to find another camera model that fits the same hole. All other cameras are smaller. Now I need to patch the big hole in the bumper so I can put the smaller camera in the smaller hole. Would definitely not recommend this product.
