This case holds my tablet very securely and the magnets keep it closed well. I like the leather straps that support the tablet in different positions without slipping. As a bonus, the leather straps also help me hold it more securely once I've got the lid off. Thanks to the person who left feedback about the need to put an SD card in before putting on a case! The color of the lid ("rose gold") changes with different lighting conditions, from tan to gold to pink (not pink). I thought the cover would be gold with a pink tint but mostly it looks pink which wasn't what I wanted but it will work. It's heavier than some of the covers, but perfectly workable. I sent back another case because it was very thin and felt cheap and plasticky. It looks a lot nicer and I think the extra thickness protects the tablet better.
