No more swearing. Best in Motorcycles and Weightlifting

I use this on my lawn tractor. There is a long, heavy spring that keeps the straps taut. To remove and install the deck I'll have to unhook this spring. I can do without this tool, but when I go that route, there's a lot of obscenity, aching joints, and pinched fingers.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Must have exhaust spring tool

This is a great tool. Not sure how I installed and removed exhaust springs without them. The handle is a good size so your fingers can easily wrap around it. If you put a lot of pressure on the pin, its size doesn't allow it to dig into your skin like a smaller diameter pin would.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not sure

Very Strong Hook - Fluids and Maintenance

I don't know why Revain is asking about stretch and transparency. This is a steel spring removal tool. Anyway, this is the kind of hook I was looking for. I probably won't use it for drawing feathers, but I have another use. I'm glad I bought it. Maybe the price is a bit high, but it's more reliable than I expected.

Pros
  • Slim Design
Cons
  • Functionality

I'M ON THE HOOK!: Tool kits

Spring hook worked very well. My first thought after seeing this was that it wouldn't be strong enough to do what I want to do which is pull the large springs on my mower assembly. I was wrong.! It's small enough to get into hard-to-reach places and powerful enough to pull very large feathers. The handle is also well welded. I'm sure I'll be using this for years with no problems.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Good but not great

Claw end too small for lawn mower springs

Obviously this spring compressor is for medium tension springs and not heavy lawn mower deck springs as another poster said it would work. Bought it, tried it and found the grip on this idler bar was too small and couldn't grip the end of the deck spring on my SKAG tractor. It's a decent weld on the handle and is great for pulling trampoline springs, but isn't designed for heavy springs on a garden tractor

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Works as promised for fluids and maintenance

TL; DR - It worked great for a very tight B-pillar spring. I had to install a B-pillar on my Royal Enfield GT 650. The forums said just use normal brake spring pliers or a screwdriver. Needless to say, my arm muscles and bones ache for no apparent reason. I've tried several times but to no avail. Then the matter is small - I ordered this tool based on reviews on Amazon. I wasn't sure what to expect from him. It took me 30 seconds to install the new springs with no signs or problems. Should have

Long handle, comfortable grip. Be careful how you use it.

I bought this earlier this year because I needed a long rod to get to the springs on my snowmobile. It worked well and I love the large T-handle on this tool. It distributes pressure across your arm instead of concentrating it in a narrow area, making it easier to pull. I've been using it this week and because of the access I couldn't pull the tool straight down. I had to pull at a 45 degree angle. The handle has broken off at the handle. So I'm not sure I can blame the tool. Again, I'm not…

A must have tool in the toolbox

The Ducati ST3 mirror sits on a three piece arm held together by a spring. As this is a mirror the spring is nowhere to be seen as it runs inside the mount and is held firmly to the rod under the mirror mount. The mirror fell off after I caught it passing a motorcycle in the garage and the spring disengaged. I suspect that someone in Ducati's service department connected this spring to the wrong endpoint because that mirror was always easier to "bend" than the other side mirror. The task of…

Best Tool Kit for Really Heavy Duty

I needed a tool strong enough to stretch the heavy spring that connects the deck to the mower. Using the vise just didn't work. The other spring hooks here at Revain didn't look like they could cut mustard, although I could be wrong as my estimate was based solely on pictures. My only concern with this (again from his picture) is the welding on the handle - will it hold if I throw my weight at it? When I received the item, I was relieved to find that the 10" shaft was actually welded to the…

Did the job I needed and exceeded my expectations for overall quality.

You can see from the packaging that it is a quality tool. Solid and just enough weight so you know you got what you paid for. The handle has multiple diamond-cut ribs that provide extra grip. The main shaft goes through the handle and is welded to the handle in two places. Both above and below. The size of the shaft at the base of the handle is small enough that if you wrap your whole hand around the handle, the shaft fits comfortably between your fingers when gripping. The rod has a slight…
