Installed a few days before our first trip with a new small caravan. Bought as I thought it would be better for soft ground than the post that came with our trailer. On the third hitch, the balloon was not correctly adjusted and at 80 km/h on the Autobahn the trailer unhooked! The gods smiled at us like a brake switch and the safety chains (crossed) worked as intended, but that leg DID save our bacon! It glides over the pavement without damaging anything, neither the truck nor the trailer. The round post may get stuck or break off, causing serious injury. We were lucky.
