This item was a perfect match for my 2003 Chevrolet Venture. This saved me the hassle of replacing the shifter cable ($75) and the labor involved. The dealer does not sell this part. It only comes as part of the cable. The symptom he fixed was the cable coming loose from the shifter on the transmission and the car getting stuck in whatever gear it was in. Great product, it saves a lot of money and solves a very common problem. The OE socket wears out over time and can no longer hold the shifter in the cable jacket. The white bushings are from GM and the orange ones are from Ford.
