I bought this to light up a costuming closet that has no lights in it.First, the bad news - the adhesive on the back is terrible. Even with the clips it peeled off a semi-gloss painted wall in under 20 minutes and slid through the clips. And on the subject of clips - the set only includes six clips so if you're planning on getting fancy with how you're hanging it, be prepared to buy more clips (I ended up recycling some stereo wire clips and they worked better).However, if you're prepared to figure out your own method of hanging, these are decent LEDs for the price. After installing I left them on for two hours and neither the strip nor the controller got hot - that's a frequent issue with these cheap LEDs. They're also decently bright - at least the strip I got. Also, none of the LEDs have yellowed out so far, another problem with cheap LED setups.
