Review on 🔍 Seachem Neutral Regulator: Enhanced SEO-friendly Product by Rachel Mercer

Basically I'm going to copy my acidity regulator review here because in my experience the two products are related - I use them together. How efficient Seachem is a cheap company but I haven't had success with all of their products (Acid Buffer, PH Alert) but loved Prime, Flourish and now the "Regulator" series. In any case, in combination with the acidity regulator, the effectiveness is amazing. In buffer water, the results are extremely predictable. I keep Clown Loaches, Neon Tetras, Albino BN Plecs and Cory so I need soft, slightly acidic water. Finally a product that helps me get there and stay there. I lowered the pH from a whopping 8.0 to 6.8 in 6 weeks (so as not to shock the fish). I've left it for 1 week since then and the pH is stable. I had to improvise a little. Since my initial pH was so high and my tap water so unbuffered, I needed a higher dose than recommended. I had to add a small amount almost every day after the starting dose and monitor the results closely with a pH slurry test. (I chose API tests for this - pH tests are accurate). I took 4 tubes and took up to 4 previous readings over several days to see subtle changes in pH. Trust me, you almost have to do this to see the difference between, say, 7.6 and 7.4 on the low pH scale. In any case, since I reached my target pH of 6.8, I no longer have to keep adding a regulator. like a water change. I made one today, added a 1:1 dose of Neutral Reg to Acid Reg and guess what? My pH stayed right at 6.8. Great. Since I got the pH right, my fish have been thriving. They are active, mobile, eat well and grow. The neutral regulator works and BRINGS your pH up to 7 and buffers your water while softening it and keeping your pH stable. I'm splicing a star because it's expensive and because it wasn't particularly intuitive on how to use it to get proper results. But it wasn't rocket science, just basic science. :)
