I have bought these several times and I love these sponge filters! They are very easy to clean; Just rinse and wring out a few times! There are no suction cups to fight against, so there is no need to place it on flat glass. Instead, it has a weighted base that allows me to place it anywhere in the aquarium or just move it to another location. The size is perfect for my 10 gallon aquarium and is very easy to hide behind decorations or plants and I don't have to work to keep my bettas, guppies or fry from getting sucked in or against the filter. Since it needs to be hooked up to an air pump to work, I kill two birds with one stone too! It filters and aerates the water and I only have to connect one device instead of two!
