Description of 🐠 AQUANEAT Aquarium Bio Sponge Filter: Enhancing Breeding and Fry Development in Betta, Shrimp & Nano Fish Tanks - 3PCS Set (10 Gal)

Sponge filter provide both mechanical and bio filtration, also, the air infusion chamber produces minute bubbles which increase the oxygen solubility. Safe for fish: soft sponge material, traps floating debris and won't suck up your fish. Easy to set up & clean: simply install an airline into the unit and turn on the air pump, simply rinse and squeeze sponge in tank water. Recommend tank size: up to 10 gallon, excellent for small size fish like betta, dwarf cichlid, guppy, killifish etc. or for hatcheries, maternity tanks, nano tanks and fry tanks, as the filter produces minimal current and has almost no way to suck the fish through the filter. Includes: 3 pcs of sponge filter. Dimension: 2.0"D X 4.75"H.

buy you! It was worth it!

I have bought these several times over the last 2 years and for some reason I never write a review. Even if they are a bit bulky, they are worth it. I have a goldfish that has been around for 3 years and he is a dirty guy that poops an amazing amount every day and these filters will keep his tank clean for a month or more (depending on the sun hitting the tank and causes algae). grow), which I honestly think is crazy. I will definitely be buying them for the rest of Rogers' life!

Modification with air stone possible!

I modify all sponge filters with a small air stone. I was concerned that I would not be able to with this filter due to its small size. Yes you can! All I did was snip off a bit of the air stone's plastic tip and it fit perfectly on the top cap of this filter. No internal air hoses are required to modify this filter. I cut out the middle plastic line and replaced it with an aerostone. works perfectly! and Airstone just fits perfectly in the middle. My fighting fish is happy! he loves to play…

Works well, good price.

Freddie Mercury, my fabulous red rooster, wasn't quite sure when I put him in his aquarium. However, I had to do something because the Petsmart filter that came with his tank died after five months (grrr!) and I didn't want to buy a new one. This thing isn't attractive, but it can be somewhat camouflaged by plants. I often test my aquarium water and find that it does a good filter job. I love that it comes in a 3 pack so I have backups in case the filter fails with my other tanks. Cleaning is a

Excellent value for money Filter accessories

You will receive three good quality foam filters. They are weighted but can still float. This can be fixed with a suction cup. Get an air pump kit with suction cups, fittings and check valves and you're good to go. Attach the suction cup to the air hose and the side of the tank to hold the filter to the bottom of the tank. I hooked it up to my 20 gallon Tetra Whisper Air Pump and use it in my 10 gallon aquarium. I have it for emergencies when I need it in my quarantine/hospital tank. I love it…

Lost value, pure water

I think they work. These sponges have made my water very clean. It's ironic because I only bought the power filter kit to replace the filter with a cheaper and much smaller sponge that seems to work MUCH better. The only thing I don't like about this product is that it doesn't fit an air stone! So I set it as low as possible and limited the airflow with valves so the bubbles were smaller and less noisy. Looking at it from one spot after installing it, I wasn't sure if that reaction was fear or…

Fantastic filter and output saving!

I have bought these several times and I love these sponge filters! They are very easy to clean; Just rinse and wring out a few times! There are no suction cups to fight against, so there is no need to place it on flat glass. Instead, it has a weighted base that allows me to place it anywhere in the aquarium or just move it to another location. The size is perfect for my 10 gallon aquarium and is very easy to hide behind decorations or plants and I don't have to work to keep my bettas, guppies…

Impressive little sponge

This is the first time I have bought a bio sponge air filter. I have two tanks, 10 liters and 5 liters. I set this to 5 gallons as I just couldn't get a steady stream of clean air with the powerhead. I'm just impressed with the sponge filter. It is connected to a compact silent air pump and the sponge filter makes almost no noise, but the suction power is still enough for powerful ventilation. It's definitely a lot quieter than an air stone. The sponge is quite small but I find it has enough…

The bubbles are too big, works great after the airstone mod!

This is a good price for 3 of these filters. I only needed 1 but it's nice to know I have 2 extras. For me the bubbles were too big and ended up causing too much turbulence on the water surface in my tank. I just didn't like how it was made. Of course it can be good for the fish. Aside from how these bubbles looked when they broke the surface of the water, they were also loud. So I went to Petco and bought these little cylindrical air stones. They happen to fit perfectly into the inner cylinder
