Modification with air stone possible!
I modify all sponge filters with a small air stone. I was concerned that I would not be able to with this filter due to its small size. Yes you can! All I did was snip off a bit of the air stone's plastic tip and it fit perfectly on the top cap of this filter. No internal air hoses are required to modify this filter. I cut out the middle plastic line and replaced it with an aerostone. works perfectly! and Airstone just fits perfectly in the middle. My fighting fish is happy! he loves to play with little bubbles!
