When you need a glove to keep you warm in extremely cold weather, these gloves are backed by the Superior Guarantee.

I was looking for a winter mitten with removable padding that is warm to -40*F. They answered the call. I will say that they really are made for cold, cold weather. Wearing them in your 20's will make your hands sweat from any kind of physical exertion. I took her north to Minnesota during a cold spell with readings hovering around -30F at night and occasional winds howling on our lake shore. Warehouse. It hurt to keep my hands off the mittens for more than 30 seconds. The mittens never let the cold through. They were the warmest part of my body that night (unless I took off my mittens, of course). It was -29Β°F wind chill in the morning and my hands are toasted (see photo). They don't have much dexterity, but they get the job done. can be made softer by turning the cups inside out and using a stitch remover to remove the zigzag elastic sewn into the wrist area (see image). I did this and it kept my jacket sleeve from sticking together. It also gives the glove better breathability, which in turn reduces moisture build-up. The spring-loaded cuff strap isn't well made and doesn't stretch as well as some of the more expensive gloves, but it works. Removable white faux wool patch at top of glove. I actually like it because you can blow your nose with it (see picture) The mittens are made in China and the workmanship is decent. It's not impressive. Leather palms are a plus in my opinion, as most man-made materials start to break down after a few years of constant use. I would recommend these mittens to anyone who has been let down by other cold weather gloves but doesn't feel like spending big bucks on an expensive big brand or Scandinavian imports.
