The best men's handheld steamer

After my hands got cold one last time in LL Beans' best winter mittens, I couldn't resist buying these superior snow calfskin gloves for extreme cold. I find the glove - I think that's what the area in front of the glove is called - needs to fit snugly over my parka, but in the bitter cold here in downtown New York they were a godsend. My fingers were actually breathing steam as I pulled my hands out of my gloves after a particularly difficult snow shoveling episode. I wholeheartedly recommend…

Medium only, not large

They are not large. That's what it says on the packaging. They are made in China. If you are 5 feet tall, they might look tall. If you are a 6 foot male then this is a medium at best. My hands are small and tense. The build quality is satisfactory, apart from the pointless cheek pads. These things are about 30 square inches of Velcro each and will easily withstand multiple nuclear blasts and the apocalypse. Too bad I have to take them off. Now I just have to figure out how to undo all the…

Warm, but not perfect

What's good: very warm. Worn at -10 under the winds and hands were warm. Removable liner. Required because more than 20 hands sweat when the weather is bad. Say well done. Soft skin. The size seems right for a tall man. Goofy cheek pads with Velcro closure. easily removed. Bad: The wrist hole is long. Probably 2-2 1/2 inches above my wrist. and the base of the cuff of the mitt is narrow. No cold weather coat will fit in this mitten cuff unless the sleeves are pulled up at least 3 to 4 inches…

I was looking for a winter mitten with removable padding that is warm to -40*F. They answered the call. I will say that they really are made for cold, cold weather. Wearing them in your 20's will make your hands sweat from any kind of physical exertion. I took her north to Minnesota during a cold spell with readings hovering around -30F at night and occasional winds howling on our lake shore. Warehouse. It hurt to keep my hands off the mittens for more than 30 seconds. The mittens never let the

Excellent value for money

After some research I bought this to combat the polar vortex -40 actual temperature. They work so well my hands could get sweaty shoveling snow. The pads on the back are pretty much useless as snow gets stuck in them quickly, but I wasn't planning on using them anyway. They don't fit over the sleeves of the parkas but I haven't had that problem at all and my larger than average arms fit well without being too tight. Overall, these gloves have more than proven themselves.

Extremely pleasant at temperatures below 40 degrees!

I've been looking for COLD weather gloves for a long time. Down in southern Louisiana nobody sells cold weather gloves, they sell "cool" weather gloves. Okay, so maybe we don't catch ourselves too often and stay in the freezer, but for those who'd love to ride (comfortably) every day, I'd like something WARM on their fingers without having to "go electric" or spend a ton of money. So when I saw the words "extremely cold" I decided to take a chance. It turned out to be a REALLY good choice. The…
