I bought these shoes on the recommendation of people who sometimes walk. I ran more and my crappy old running shoes just hurt. These shoes are so great that I wear them to work and school a lot (and I have NEVER worn sneakers for anything other than sports). They are light but comfortable. My knees don't hurt since I've been wearing them (and they did with my old running shoes). I almost always have 8.5 in my shoes and 8 would not be enough. I have narrow feet (long and thin) so I have to tighten the laces very tightly for them to fit comfortably. This is normal and they still look and feel great.
