Review on Traffic AC85 265V Waterproof Industrial Indicator: Enhancing Occupational Health & Safety by Robert Lemons

Bright, easy-to-install plastic body

Easy to install and set up, this two-light red/green indicator is pre-wired for whatever AC voltage you're working with, up to 265V. I've hooked this up to 3- Level switch to test and it works very well. Both lights are very bright, green is about twice as bright as red, good visibility from the side. Built-in sun visors help you see the light even in the middle of the day, and the entire case is waterproof so you can easily leave it mounted outdoors. There is no ground wire, not sure if that matters as the entire unit is plastic except for the mounting hardware so there really is no possibility of electrocution from this unit. My plan for this light is to use it as a parking lot. Help in my garage along with a light sensor. It's a bit bright for indoor use, but I thought it would be fun. There are many uses for such a lantern for traffic control, entry and exit control in a restricted facility, etc. I don't think the plastic frame is harmful for such a lantern. Provided the plastic doesn't fade in the sun, it will last for years and withstand almost any weather. The included brackets allow the light to be mounted at any angle and it has teeth that prevent it from moving once locked. It would be nice to have some threaded caps on top and bottom, I'll probably just grab some rubber caps the same diameter as the screws and add them later. The lenses used in this flashlight do the job well. emits a bright light that won't blind you even if you look directly at it. I'm very happy with the design of the lenses, it makes a big difference compared to simply mounting a row of LEDs on a PCB. Overall good product. No complaints. The lights can burn for hours and don't seem to get hot at all. You can activate both indicators at the same time, but I assume most people want either one or the other.

Cons
