This band works underwater

I bought this band because I needed to mark dots at each end of my pool to do backflip laps. I was skeptical that this would work since I had to apply it two feet underwater. I cut out two circles about 1 inch in diameter and then gummed the dots under the pool side of the water. They got stuck right away. Two weeks later, the tape shows no signs of detachment.
