I bought this band because I needed to mark dots at each end of my pool to do backflip laps. I was skeptical that this would work since I had to apply it two feet underwater. I cut out two circles about 1 inch in diameter and then gummed the dots under the pool side of the water. They got stuck right away. Two weeks later, the tape shows no signs of detachment.

I bought this to fix a crack in my newly purchased fender. The leak was small and I tried to close it completely but the tape wouldn't hold and water was pouring through. I actually used up the entire roll and the water still broke through. Maybe I misunderstood what this tape is capable of? It's nice and thick, although I don't think it's designed to fix things like splashbacks and paddling pools.

This tape has a very heavy and strong plastic outer layer with one of the strongest adhesives I have tried. The outer layer appears to be very water resistant and should be an excellent material for caulking or stopping water leaks. After examining the outer plastic cover of the band, I concluded that it would be resilient to prolonged exposure to sunlight. We have an above ground pool with an inflatable ring, in a recent storm the ring was punctured by a stick. I bought this after the original patch (which came with the pool) only lasted a few days. My problem seems to be that the tape/patch gets very hot at 80 degrees and between that and air pressure the glue doesn't work.
