This stuff works great for my particular application. I have an air mattress and it has a few holes in it. I took a freshly sharpened pocket knife and removed all the lint from around each hole until it was shiny (i.e. ran the blade *very gently* across the mattress at a 45 degree angle to remove the vinyl lint until it looked like the underside the mattress). the air mattress just glitters) [I did this when it was already inflated so I could properly apply some pressure so I didn't damage it any more / or make the hole bigger]. *Tip* Be sure to thoroughly clean the entire area to be patched as well. I gently wiped the area with the Huggies sensitive skin baby wipe. While it was still slightly damp, I cut out a patch of the correct size (follow package directions). I made sure to press down on the patch from the center and rub it firmly so there are no streaks or blisters. I've never had any of the patches I NEVER put in place of a leak. I swear by this material, the key is to use it properly. There were about 5-7 steps but each step is there to ensure you have primed the area properly and never have to check or reapply. My husband even spilled baking soda and the like on these patches and no patch ever questioned me. Ps If you had the correct sandpaper gradients you wouldn't need to use a sharp knife, I just didn't have one handy. These patches survive even the roughest lovemaking 🤗 lol. If your patch came off, you did one of two things: 1. You didn't remove enough lint, or 2. You didn't clean the area well enough after removing the lint. Good luck and use it properly. It will NOT work if used incorrectly.
