I maxed out my knees with athletics and then added arthritis, a torn ligament and a torn meniscus. I tore my meniscus again this week and this is the first brace that really makes sense. I've tried ALL the different braces and knee stabilizers. Although the design looks simple, it closes at the front so you're not trying to stretch the brace around and behind your injured knee. The back is solid and not open between the velcro straps like most, keeping the knee straight. The metal loops fit snugly on 2 sides and the hole above the knee pad is big enough not to put any pressure on the knee pad. I just took a chance because of the front clasp and sturdy back and I'm very happy with it. I don't know about you, but the ones with Velcro on the back of the legs always pinch and scrape the skin. I don't usually take the time to write a review unless it's something really helpful. This could be the first thing that doesn't end up in my kneecap graveyard! I highly recommend. I can easily adjust the tension and density and the stability. Good luck and get well soon.
