So, as others have pointed out, there is no safety seal on this product. Luckily for me it came capped on and the wand looked completely intact. I didn't like the lack of a filling but decided to give it a try as it seemed completely intact. I'm very glad I did. This lip balm is great. My lips are a disaster in winter, they are chapped and visibly dry. I started using this and within a day my lips looked and felt so much better. Now they are smooth and do not tear at all. The downside is that I started using this stuff compulsively throughout the day for fear of drying out my lips again. But the results are worth it. UPDATE: I lost my original tube and when I bought the second one it was in a sealed plastic bag so I think they took the feedback on the sealing issue seriously. I love this stuff. It's been about 5 days without him since I lost my old whistle and it's been awful.
