I used them as tongue rings but after a day the metallic red balls lost most of their colour. And since I had it in my mouth, that meant I'd swallowed the red paint/top coat. I took a tool and was able to scrape off the black textured spheres on the outside, so I'm pretty sure they'll end up the same.
