Perfect. I bought it for chicken feed. I have a 5 gallon bucket that I drilled holes 1-1/4" down in and filled with chicken feed, but it kept sinking into the bottom and smelling. It was just gross. It's perfect - mine Chicks can't scratch the feed when walking, the feed is sealed in, and there is at least 2" of space between the 5 gallon bucket and the sides of this pan. The sides of the pan, a couple of inches high, are perfect for the chickens to tuck into reach their heads but keep water and dirt out of the pan.
