Review on Deluxe Home Accents 74-Inch Wide Span Safety Gate with Bonus Wall Mounts (4-Pack) by Jacob Mendoza

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A reliable gate you can trust, but is so tiring to install!

Well if you are buying this item it is most likely because you have an abnormal opening, it was for us and it has its pros and cons. Number one pro, he gets the job done! This keeps our daughter out of an area we don't want her to go into. But this product may need improvement with just a few basic things. Instructions! Came with nothing, I had to watch the Revain video 100 times and even it left me with unanswered questions. The thing is not that easy to assemble, as the model simply pulls out a screwdriver and screws on the screws in two seconds. No no no. It took my husband and I a full sleep to pick it up (about an hour and a half). We had to redrill the holes three times on both sides. If I had instructions, I would know that two separate mounts should not be placed at the top and bottom, but at a distance of several inches from the top and bottom. Which also really affects the strength of the gate if your little one is trembling on it. If you need to mount it under the counter where you can't just slide the rails in from the top after screwing in the fasteners, it's very difficult to install! But maybe the screws just had to go in at an angle. A few more pluses. The gate can definitely be opened with one hand! I read a few reviews saying it can't be and that it's just a lie, they must have a faulty latch. I can actually open it with one finger, but my little one can't figure out how to push and slide it at the same time. There is also no concern for my daughter's safety, she was right in the middle, her mouth trying to grab him, her little fingers, her legs, her face and her head. this will in no case lead to injuries. My advice to the consumer: just understand, this is gold for parents trying to protect their child. My final thoughts to the manufacturer of the product include some instructions with explanations and a diagram of the entire assembly. That way I don't have to guess which part goes where and rewind a heavily edited installation video over and over again.
