Really nice jug but it's 4 cups not 3

I really wanted a 3 cup jug. When I first brewed a cup (after initially throwing out full pots), I noticed that the coffee rose much farther into the cup than my other 3-cup pot. I refilled the base and poured water into my 4 cup pot and it came right up to the safety valve. Then I did a little research on sizes and quantities. Some sources vary, but generally a "cup" in this type of pot is considered 2 ounces, so 3 cups is 6 ounces, or 3/4 cup. The literature says the pot holds 240ml, which is a cup or 8 oz, so it's actually 4 cups. The coffee is great and easy to use so no complaints and it's nice to have two cups for 4 cups as that's the size I use most (there are 2 cups for 6 cups too). But I've been looking for a steel cup 3 for a long time to replace the aluminum cup which I don't like using. Some time ago I realized that the smaller the pot, the better the coffee. Sometimes I only need a small amount, so I really wanted 3 cups. I also accidentally discovered by slowing down the coffee pot while doing something else that the slower you brew the better the coffee. However, sometimes things have to be done quickly. This pot has a large girth so I can turn the gas burner higher without worrying about the handle melting. I maxed it out to make 2 one shot opening pots and was amazed at how quickly it went into the bank - in about a minute and a half. My other, smaller but over 4 cups, needs 3-1/2-4 on the highest burner I can have. Both take about 13 when I turn the burner off.
