Works like a champ, needs a few mods.

So happy I bought this. Like, like, something like. It works as described and crushes our Sangiovese grapes like a terminator. I have a larger press, but I'd rather use this for smaller batches (250-300 pounds of grapes). I was impressed with the product and it did its job well. Now for the cons. The product is delivered unassembled in a cardboard box. This takes about 3 glasses of wine. It comes in a box with any wooden parts screwed onto two round metal frames. Use a drill with a nozzle and finish by hand. It comes with two gaskets. These are 1 x 1 1/2 x 6 inch pieces of wood. There should be 10 pieces of this size. Due to the length of the threaded insert, this won't work unless you're making juice out of a little elephant. Lay the two pieces of wood to the sides and place two regular sized bricks on top to squeeze out the juice. Chances are you can grab one of Home Depot's pads and they'll cut you. Or normal sized stones. The threaded part you are screwing the insert into is too high. The carving ends further than the top of the log basket so you end up trying to use the handle at an angle. The bottom that catches the juice and moves it to another container needs to be deeper. You can only add 1/4 gallon of liquid before it overflows. Pros - It works great. I wish I had had it when we started cider last month. I think it's very tough and will crush anything without dinosaur bones with the right pads. It comes with a 24" x 18" reusable mesh pouch that's perfect for abs. aphids. It was a bonus. I'm very glad I bought this.
