They are very comfortable and have nice padding on the ankles (which I like because it's very comfortable if you get hit in the ankle, whether it's a fall off the board acts or off the board) hits the knuckles), but they're pretty damn durable. They look like Atwood Vans paired with Hightop of the Half Cabs, which I like even more. They are only soft in the ankle area. So the rest of the shoe is nice, not bulky or heavy. And yes, they look fantastic. Definitely recommend
