Vans stopped making this type of high top shoe and went over to their current style which I think looks worse so am I'm glad I could find them here before they were all gone. Great shoes

They are very comfortable and have nice padding on the ankles (which I like because it's very comfortable if you get hit in the ankle, whether it's a fall off the board acts or off the board) hits the knuckles), but they're pretty damn durable. I do downhill longboarding/skate occasionally so I fall often, especially at high speeds. In addition, these shoes have great grip. They look like Atwood Vans paired with Hightop of the Half Cabs, which I like even more. They are only soft in the ankle…

Maybe I only have high tops but they are a little tighter than expected at the top, loosening the laces fixes them in place but then they feel a little loose, the toe is longer than expected but comfortable over the shoes. However, they do not provide true ankle support.

I love them. Very comfortable, fit very well. And a great view. Easy to slip on, unlike some Converse shoes which are often too tight to slip on. If I need replacements, I take the same ones!

I liked the fit, snug enough not to slip but not too tight to hurt. They squeeze the foot a little on the first two socks, but then they fit perfectly.
