Review on Shelf Liner Wire Shelving Locking Storage & Organization by Kyle Hong

It's on a Shelf - Organizing Closets and Drawers

Pretty brilliant review title don't you think? Well I wasn't thrilled with this product. That's why. The first thing I liked was that it was about 3/16 inch wider than my shelves so it didn't exactly fit on every shelf. My shelves are 48 inches long and 12 inches wide, and the bars on the top of the shelf run the full length of the shelf. Luckily, it was flexible enough that once loaded, it settled onto the wires most of the time, with just a small hook at the top of the rear rail. The next problem is that the retaining tabs didn't match the spacing. on my shelves. On a 4 foot wide shelf, only two tabs on one side lined up properly with the shelf, so it's not the useful feature I was hoping for. The next problem is that this material comes in a tightly bound roll. This makes it a bit difficult to plan, measure and cut properly because it wants to roll back. With an extra pair of hands I was able to use my square frame to cut it where I needed it. Of course, no manufacturer can compete with all the welded wire poles available on the market. So I kept this product and used it anyway. Once I placed the items on the shelves they kept the items from curling up and did what they were designed to do. So it's not what I had in mind, but it holds on well enough.
