I was already a very happy owner of an old Mueller mandolin, but thanks to a special offer from the company I was able to order their latest version. Next my impressions. Both models are highly portable, durable and easy to use, requiring no outlets, batteries or chargers. The latest model has several advantages (as shown above) and one disadvantage over the old model. First a minus: the thickness of the cut is not adjustable. If you need a different thickness or a specific thickness, you may have an issue with the lack of this feature. However, I liked the thickness of the neckline on this mandolin. Now for the pros, this device has a built-in collection bin that keeps food off the counter and keeps germs away since you're not touching the food. It's also designed to fit different sized bowls if you want to use it without a container. I personally prefer the shopping cart as this method worked the fastest for me. The mandolin stays firmly on the table while slicing; important in addition to user-friendliness as a safety factor. Another feature is that all the blades fit right into the lid and are stored away. It's not a total pro for me as I need to remove unused blades from the lid before washing the mandolin, but you don't have to worry about losing blades in a closet or closet drawer. The final detail I would like to point out is the upgraded food pusher/holder. This new design feels safer to me, and while you should always be careful with sharp blades, I'm glad it's included with the tool. My recommendation - this product is a great buy!
