I love that I can change the motor on my quadcopter without melting the whole board. It seems to be taking a while for the solder to melt while trying to hold the tiny wires in place, or maybe I need more experience with this. So far this has worked fine for me. Perhaps a 20 watt or 25 watt would be just as useful and wouldn't take as long to get the solder to the right temperature. I like the thin tip that keeps heat right where it's needed. I can try a higher wattage soldering iron but I'm glad it works well and does what I need. It's new, so the power cord still wants to return to its folded form. I have to be careful what happens when I put my pencil on the stand to make sure the cord doesn't pull it off the stand and burn a work surface. I hope that with further use it will lose some of its elasticity.
