Believe it or not, we enjoy washing dishes, and so a dish drainer is essential. Previously I've had several made by Rubbermaid, and they all eventually shed their coating and began to rust. This one was in the same price range as the Rubbermaid, it was the right size, and had a different look, so I ordered it. It is much heavier than my old Rubbermaid. I like the rounded corners and the fact that there is more to it to hold the dishes in place. The divided utensil basket is detachable, and there is room in my sink to hang it on the outside the dish drainer, creating more room for the dishes. Perhaps eventually this one, too, will show wear and begin to rust, but right now I like it a lot and enjoy using it. I think it looks good in my kitchen.
