Review on πŸŒ€ Efficient Cooling Fan Assembly for Honda Accord: TYC 620690 Radiator/Condenser Replacement by Jeffrey Nunes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

An inexpensive replacement for a failed driver's side fan. Pretty easy job.

The driver's side fan stopped spinning when the AC was on (both should spin in this situation) so I decided to try and shut it down try since I had 12V DC on the fan and no movement. I have a Denso radiator and this thing popped up right away. No significant problems. At a leisurely pace, it took me about 45 minutes. I drained about a pint of coolant and often squeezed the upper radiator hose to minimize the mess when removing the upper hose. The cable holders are a little tricky to remove as you have to reach between the fan/shroud assembly and the heatsink and squeeze them to slide them through. I think there were two on the driver's side. Make sure you remove the pull tab from your old build after you pull it out and place it on the new build before gluing it in. It sits low on the passenger side of the assembly and holds the wire harness in place. A Phillips screw. You will also need a small rubber hose that connects the coolant expansion tank to the radiator. Please note that I did not remove the old coolant reservoir from the old assembly. This work was not necessary and I left a new one on the new building. Tools: - 10mm socket or wrench for three mounting screws - Phillips screwdriver for the tab - Pliers for upper radiator hose clamp and for draining the radiator if more than finger tightening - Needle nose pliers or strong fingers for wire holders - Trap for coolant
