The brush works by filling the stick with dishwashing liquid and then pressing on the udder to release the soap over the top of the cow's head in the cleaning brush. The udder is made of soft material (silicone, rubber?) and the handle is made of hard plastic. The brush continued to leak even after I fixed the leaking base issue. Turns out there isn't a good seal where you're squeezing the soap out, so over time the two pieces have separated and the brush is seeping soap around that spot on the handle. At first I blamed my kids for the dirty soapy puddles. When I realized the brush was broken, it was too late to return it. Don't waste money.
