Regret Purchase: Lighters and Matches
I bought this because it seemed like a good idea to have a rechargeable lighter. Now that I've experienced it, it's awful. It only burns for 8 seconds, holds a charge for a day or two, and can be lit multiple times before going out again. I wish I had just bought a Zippo or even a Bic. It makes a great novelty gift, but if you need it to start a fire, hopefully you will be doing so within a day of taking it off the charger.
