These brakes are amazing! Excellent quality! I tried relentlessly to adjust my old pads to stop the squeaking to no avail. That's why I tried them - the reviews said they weren't noisy. THE RATINGS ARE CORRECT! My old brakes were also very soft. Not so with these. Braking is now reliable! I couldn't believe the price either - you basically get two sets for less than the price of one. My only complaint is that the nut on the end of the bolt doesn't allow you to press the pad against the brake lever. If you tighten it as hard as you can, the brake will loosen (at least on my bike - maybe my brake lever is thinner than most). In any case, simply using a nut from the old brake pads that was on my bike fixed the problem. I think I might as well just use an old gasket from an old pad.
