Review on Catit Scratcher with Organic Catnip by Kara Hall

I have purchased several Catit products and this is the first thing I am completely dissatisfied with. My cats loved a similar cardboard cat scratching post that I bought at a hardware store and used every day. It was reversible like the Catit and lasted about two months before needing replacement. The only thing I didn't like about the previous notebook was its size. When I was looking for a replacement, I wanted a model that was both longer and wider. I chose Catit because it met my sizing needs, was a good price, and because of my previous good experience with Catit's product quality. My cats love the Catit Cat Scratcher with Catnip and I hate it. Every time one of the cats uses it, small scraps of paper are left scattered on the floor. It makes an incredible mess! I didn't have this problem with my previous cat scratching post. Because cats tear up the Catit Cat Scratcher with use, it wears out much faster than similar cat scratchers with a thicker cardboard backing. If you've never bought a cat scratching post, you may think these notes are just "beast's nature" and rejoice that your cats use them instead of your carpet or furniture to sharpen their claws. However, scratching posts made of thicker, high-quality cardboard are NOT. I am looking for a better scratching post.
