I already had a native Fuji XF1 camera and really liked it until the lens issue that many had with this model surfaced. This newer camera has the same really good Fuji CMOS sensor but lacks the idiosyncratic and easily damaged lens. She recently took me to Europe and gave me great photos. I especially like what he does with black and white. It offers several film simulations; As an old Velvia fan, I used this color setting and it oversaturated some photos, so I think it's best to stick with the Provia setting. And not many P&S cameras offer the 25mm-equivalent wide-angle lens, which I really like, so I'm not put off by the relatively short range of 25-100mm. (The difference between 25mm and 28mm is significant.) No, it doesn't compare to a DSLR or larger mirrorless camera, but if you're out and about for a walk, this camera will give you great photos that fit in your shirt pocket , and offers even more options than camera on phone, it's good to have them. (PS: As with any camera, get a spare battery.)
