. USB-C is great and definitely the future, but while I still use USB-A devices, this hub helps bridge the gap. The hub has a USB-C port on the outside, so you can still use a USB-C device there, but it occupies 2 USB-C slots on your computer. I mainly use it for a memory card reader that works well. It has the usual slow SD card reader as well as a micro SD card slot. I'm concerned about plugging and unplugging on my computer as the outer plastic is flimsy and a bit difficult to align quickly.
