For $50 it would be hard to refuse. I bought a pair and then wore them on the 1400 mile round trip to Canada and back. They were warm enough to wear alone, down to 48 degrees (the coldest temperature we've seen) and adequately ventilated up to 90 (the warmest we've seen). Even though it wasn't a downpour they kept me dry during the half hour downpour. First, they were comfortable throughout the trip. "CE" armor is definitely not CE so change that, but for $50 you won't find rounder pants. can really experience in heavy rain. They lasted about an hour before leaking and when they leaked they really let go. We drove about 5 hours in the rain with two heavy downpours lasting 5 to 10 minutes each. When we got out, so much water got in that it ran into my boots and started soaking into my top base layer. My Klim jacket stayed dry the whole time, but deducting a star is like comparing $50 pants to a $1,000 jacket, so I think 5 stars are still deserved.
