I bought one like this for our Sprinter which has a multipurpose metal grille on the tailgate (see pic). We have a garbage bag hanging from the front seat but needed rear access when camping. It was a bit of an impulse buy, but it cost less than $20 and got good reviews. There are five of us in the van, including three children under 10, so we make a fair amount of trash. We have just returned from an 8 day trip through Idaho and Montana and I am pleased to report that this was a fantastic addition. The ability to use grocery bags makes it easier to empty and keep clean. Our biggest problem was that we were using a hanging recyclable grocery bag and it was licking and just plain sucking. On the day of our return I ordered a second one, see picture for current setup. Yellow for recycling, brown for trash. I can buy a third one to replace the front garbage bag. I tried to find a negative and to be honest there isn't one for our use. I've seen it's difficult to install in some situations, but it's perfect for us. The pockets are great for extra pockets or whatever else you can think of. Thinking about it, I'll toss the bottle opener in a new one right away. TL:DR - great buy, grab it and go hiking.
