Review on Bosch Automotive 6040C HEPA Cabin Air Filter ๐Ÿš˜ | Compatible with 2011-2019 Dodge Durango & Jeep Grand Cherokee by Jeff Dabney

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Too restrictive in hot weather

Restricts a lot of airflow, cleans great so I only use it during the worst part of allergy season and then swap out for something that flows during the really hot months. It should be fine in spring and fall. To get the same airflow you need to turn on two fan modes, 5 is like the old 3. It's loud at higher settings and won't cut it at high temperatures. It is more than likely that the AC coil will freeze due to the limited airflow. This is an allergy sufferer's dream at the moment, because in the spring I usually switch the fan on to 2-3, now only to 4-5 and up to 8. Now it's a bit louder than usual at 4-5. But I will don't cut high, it's too loud. WHY MFG CANNOT FIND A HAPPY AVERAGE. I mean you can find 5-100 microns 98% with carbon, 3 microns 99% without carbon and if it was with carbon it would be perfect. It's 0.3 microns at 99.8%, which is the limit for 99% of people. Give us 3 microns of 99% carbon and you've got a winner's chicken dinner. better filtering is worth it. It's a pity that no one intervenes. Put POTAUTO Carbon and it's a bit noisy and high pitched, but the airflow is better. It still filters better than the OEM crap that came in it.
