Poor quality control and marketing

I bought this protector because of its design. While the design concept is solid, as others have said, it doesn't fit into standard 12-inch buckets, although the packaging and listing are in line with the market. I have a feeling they only fit Chemical Guys flush buckets as the guards are 1.5mm wider all around. Appears to be a dishonest marketing ploy to trick consumers into buying their buckets at an inflated price. There was also poor quality control in the making of this product. Again, as other reviewers have noted, the holes aren't fully punched out, leaving plastic in the way. I really like this design so I adapted it to be functional and fit in standard buckets. Here's what I made for DIY: I used 100 grit sandpaper and an electric sander to remove the outside edge. Basically, you only sand until you have the outside of the first circle of holes smooth. I then applied 220 grit to it to make it nice and smooth (pictured before and after). Now it fits perfectly and still pulls out easily. Then for the holes I used an ice pick to punch through the excess plastic (pictured). I then used a 220 grit electric sander to shave off the excess plastic. I did this process twice on the holes to fully open and clean them. (on the photo). Hope that helps!
