Herman Miller quality and features at half the price

I love this chair. I've been using it almost every day for the past two months and it's been a great purchase that I would make again. I work from 8:00 am to 5:30-6:00 pm at my desk in the home office. Every day of the week, so I knew I needed a comfortable, ergonomic chair that wouldn't affect my posture or hurt my body just sitting in it for a sedentary job. I didn't need a super fancy chair, but I didn't want an eyesore either. I also knew I wanted something with great quality first and then reliable and comfortable ergonomics. This chair meets all of these requirements. I can't underestimate how roller wheels are changing my life. I will never return. These things are quiet, smooth and can ride over almost any material. I don't have to push as hard or move heavily. I have poured concrete floors in my office but do you see that deep pile rug in the photos? You can bet your last dollar that this baby can roll smoothly from concrete to carpet without getting stuck or requiring push/pull for significant resistance, and it blew me away the first time. The position of the armrest is fully adjustable: the pads can be rotated inwards and outwards, moved forwards or backwards and moved up and down. The armrest pads are a bit soft but firm enough. Part of the headrest rises and falls, and also tilts forward or backward. You can even choose not to install it if you don't need it or don't like it and I don't think it will greatly detract from the aesthetics of the chair (just two simple holes in the back). The plastic-mesh composite ("ElastoMesh") is very breathable and would be so easy to clean if I spilled something on it. My body (well actually my butt) doesn't feel like it's sinking into the seat any more than it would in a regular office chair. (The dial phone in the chair seat picture is an old Apple iPhone 6S Plus.) Actually, I think the tension of this fabric gives me a bit of spring, bounce, and power when sitting in it, which I actually prefer. now. soft, dense, limp piece of foam. The mesh fabric feels soft when squeezed lightly and grippy like a cord when squeezed hard. I've never had a problem with fabric. I was initially concerned that the lower lumbar is not adjustable, but this unique mesh and strong flex provides good support. I'm 5ft 6in and the standard back shape is totally natural to me. I could imagine someone much taller, although they may need to adjust that or all of the rear end from the seat. This is my ONLY criticism of the chair. I usually sit and recline the chair all the way up, but you can unlock it to gently lower it back with pressure. You can also lock the tilt to keep it at your preferred angle. I feel fine (even fine) sitting in this chair for long periods of time, although I try to get up and move around frequently. I never felt pain when I stood up. This chair was better than most options I've seen at Office Depot. I have worked with Herman Miller furniture at most other company offices and I would say that this chair rivals their Aeron or Mirra designs in terms of quality and functionality.
