Review on D-Link DIR-810L Wireless AC 750 Mbps Dual-Band Broadband Router with Home Cloud App Support by Jermall Meredith

In less than an hour this newly arrived router completely went down. Earlier in the day I received it, I set it up fairly quickly and easily. But I could only see the 2.4GHz band and not the 5GHz band. [I've never owned a dual-band router, so forgive my naivety about this product.] However, everything I clicked arrived quickly and accurately, and as quickly as it could. I went to check it and the router LEDs were NOT on. I thought it was blown [so completely dead], or I blew a fuse for that outlet, but otherwise everything was fine. The power switch has been moved to the ON position. Then I turned it on and off again and after 5 minutes it was working again. I don't know why it shut down completely, but it seems to be the issue that Revain mentioned in the review for this particular product. I'm afraid I have to return this item. Too bad because it's fast [hence the second star] but NOT reliable.
